A Drive for Independence
Michelle Nicolaides' career choices have followed her love of animals, customer service, and business management. She began selling horseshoeing supplies in 1995 after many years in the feed and tack industry. She soon realized she had found her niche.
In 1999 Michelle decided to fulfill her life-time dream of owning her own business. Through careful planning and study of the horseshoeing world and its needs, she decided that Temecula was where she would start Empire Farrier Supply.
The store serves local Southern California farriers as well as others interested in the tools and supplies of the trade. Empire ships all over the country and provides local delivery to San Juan Capistrano, Hemet, Del Mar and many places in between.
Success Begets Expansion
Starting with 1100 square feet of warehouse and showroom, Michelle’s new business grew so much that in 2003 she added 1350 square feet for a total space of 2450. But that was only the start. Two years later she moved to a new building with a total of 3700 s.f. The business is now more than 3 times its original size.
Michelle has always wanted to stock her store based on her customers’ needs and now she has the room to do that. Talking with her one is quickly taken with how much she loves her customers and how she enjoys working with them and serving their needs. Clearly Michelle is where she belongs, working in the equine industry and running her own business.
